    Hi Lew:
I am writing about Robert Rogers in your file b. Est. 1665. His Will mentions Mary Galloway who I believe must be his wife. He is very sick and dying and leaves as much of my plantation as needed during her widowhood. She would become a widow after he died. I also believe he descends from Edward Rogers who died about 1637 in Upper Parish Norfolk County, Virginia. This Edward's Father came to America on the Ship Ann with William Galloway who may be related to Mary Galloway.
What are your thoughts. I wonder if Thomas Galloway is married to Sarah Mumford. That surname was also spelled Mulford/Mullford. If they are Mary Galloway's parent's Sarah Mumford could be a sister to Katherine Mullford, married to John Langston. She is also referred to as Katherine Mumford by some researchers.

Leonard now thinks that Roberts father may have been William Rogers of early Nansemond, County, VA. He said that Edward Rogers left a will mentioning only friends, not children.2
