    Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Bill Yarbrough, Mike Ensminger and Kevin Hallaburton officiating. Burial will be in Loraine Cemetery.

    Mr. Yarbrough was born in Grand Saline and was a farmer and rancher. He lived in Roscoe and Loraine before moving to Nolan in 1964. He was a past member of Divide school board, a member of Nolan Church of Christ and a farmer-rancher. He was an agent for Germanian Insurance Co. He married Savannah Caswell in 1940 in Loraine.

    Survivors include his wife, of Nolan; three sons, Harold Yarbrough of Nolan, David Yarbrough of Weatherford and Dwayne Yarbrough of Buffalo Gap; three brothers, Sewell Yarbrough and Leland Yarbrough, both of Tucson, Ariz., and Bill Yarbrough of Saravista, Ariz.; four sisters, Ruby Honea and Sylvia Bearden, both of Abilene, Faye Root of Elmira, N.Y., and Leta Townsend of Lubbock; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.3

    She was born on December 28, 1953, in Rosboro, the daughter of George Buren Varner and Ella Olean Guin Varner. On June 24, 1973, she was married to the love of her live, Jim Killian. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Kay Long and Patricia Rodgers; and two brothers, Robby Varner and David Varner.

    Beverly was a very hard worker and a thoughtful person, always putting the needs of others before her own. She loved to work with flowers and could always find the right place to put a rosebush. She had a kind heart, and always saw the good in others. She was Assembly of God in her faith. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all and her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

    She is survived by her husband, Jim Killian of Amity; three children and their spouses, Misty and Kyle Waitkus of Amity, Angie and Loyd Pittman of Alpine, Jessica and Paul Little of Amity; and Josh and Faith Killian of Arkadelphia; eleven grandchildren, Amy Spence, Nick Waitkus, Alex Waitkus, Zoya Waitkus, Logan Spence, Elizabeth Pittman, Ashley Pittman, P.J. Little, Chris Little, Sasha Little, and Natasha Little; one sister, Sherry Garner and her husband Donald of Amity; one brother, Joey Varner and his wife Dorlisa of Alpine; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of wonderful friends.

    Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. David Walker officiating.

    Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

    Interment will be in the Coker Cemetery.

    Pallbearers will be Jonathon Long, Patrick Redleaf, Robby Redleaf, Marty Varner, John Varner and Spencer Wilder.2

    Sidney was born on March 6, 1932 in Brinkley, Arkansas to Chester and Myrtle Varner Frost. He married Katie Inez Larque in Arkansas in April, 1952. Katie died on February 5, 1992 in Peoria.

    Among those surviving are three sons, Dennis (Vicki) Frost of Chillicothe, Robert (Bonnie) Frost of Goodfield and Daniel (JoAnn) Frost of Washington; four daughters, Debra (Bob) McCleery of Washington, Cydney Rhee (Steve) Fuller of Eureka, Rozan (Bill) Pollard of Delavan and Susan (Bill) Huggins of Rockford; two sisters, Helen ("RD") Moore of Denver City, Texas and Peggy (Clarence) Wiesel of Wheatley, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, David, who died in 1999 and one sister.

    Sidney was a veteran of the United States armed forces proudly serving in the U. S. Navy.

    He worked for Caterpillar Construction Equipment as a welder. Sidney worked at Building LL for a number of years before finally ending his career at Mossville Technical Center after 35 years. He retired in 1991.

    While Sidney worked at Caterpillar he also composed many poems and songs which he enjoyed putting to music on his guitar.

    Jan 1737 Orderd that the following persons be appointed as a Jury to Lay out ye Roads from Bennets Creek Bridge to Meherrin Ferry (Vizt) Henry GUSTON, Jno. Vann, Thos. NORRIS, James WILSON, Andrew ROSS, George HUGHS, Wm. DANIEL, Edmd. VANN, Jno. ALSTON, Thos. SPEIGHT, George WILLIAMS. Michl. GOULDING & make return at ? ye next court.
    The petition of Thomas KINSEY in these words & c granted New licence and enterd Wm. ARKELL and Wm DANIEL securities.
    Ordered that William DANIEL & Edward VANN Senr. Posession all the lands on the East side of Coles Creek to where the Road crosses the Knotty Pine Swamp thence down the said road to Kitterells Road thence along the Road to George Williams and from thence to the head of the White Potts, then down the said swamp to Bennets Creek, thence down the said Creek to the first station.

    "Bernard died at 13 from an infection in a cut on his foot. Grandma was always very sad about her brother's death. She said Bernard had gotten a stone bruise on the bottom his foot, and as little kids might do, he messed with it -- too much. He cut it with a knife trying to relieve the pressure. I guess this was 13-year-old logic on how to make it feel better. Anyway, no penicillin, and that was that."
