Biography*: 27 February 2019; Catherine Parr[1] was the sixth and last wife of Henry VIII. She is remembered for administrative skill, and handling the logistics of Henry's wars while he was abroad.

Born in 1512, she was the first child of Sir Thomas Parr of Kendal, and Maud, daughter of Sir Thomas Green, then seventeen years old.[2] [3]

She and Henry le Scrope were engaged in 1524.[4]

Katharine Parr married Sir Edward Burgh after 1525.5 Katharine Parr married Sir John Neville, 3rd Lord Latimer, son of Sir Richard Neville, 2nd Lord Latimer and Anne Stafford, in 1533.[5]

Katharine Parr married Henry VIII Tudor, King of England, Duke of York & Cornwall, Prince of Wales, Earl of Chester, son of Henry VII Tudor, King of England, 2nd Earl of Richmond and Elizabeth Plantagenet, on 12 July 1543 at Hampton Court, Twickenham, Middlesex, England; They had no issue.[6]

Katharine Parr married Sir Thomas Seymour, 1st Lord Seymour, Lord High Admiral, son of Sir John Seymour, Sheriff of Wiltshire, Constable of Bristol Castle and Margery Wentworth, before 30 May 1547; They had 1 daughter (Mary, b. 29 August 1548; may have died in infancy).[7]¹
