  • Biography*: Helen and Richard ("Dickie") made their home on a large wheat farm and Angus ranch which Dickie's grandfather had homesteaded. Dickie and Helen both took flying lessons and became pilots. They bought a Musketeer plane and kept it in a hanger on the ranch. In 1969, along with several friends, they chartered a Lockheed Lodestar for a pleasure trip to Las Vegas. On the return trip they hit a light snow storm near Albuquerque and their plane crashed killing all eleven aboard.
