    The Strozier Heritage Society, Inc. was formed in 2005 as a non-profit corporation for several reasons:
    1. To educate family members and others about the Strozier Heritage
    2.To share family information and research Strozier ancestors.
    3.To preserve and maintain the Strozier Cemetery in Meriwether Co., GA. This cemetery is where Margaret Strozier is buried. She was thewife of Revolutionary War Soldier Peter Strozier, who participated in the Battles of Kettle Creekand Kings Mountain.
    
    We have set up a website for the Society - Strozier Heritage Society, Inc
    The siteis still under construction, but please share it with any other family members who might be interested.
    Please join with your cousins and othersacross the country to help preserve and maintain the Strozier Cemetery.
    Membership in the Society is only $20 for an individual and $35 for a family.

    William - age 1 month -- William A. Burton was born April 11, 1850.
    Rebecca Burton - age 79 born SC -- she is actually Rebecca O'Hara -- mother of Martha Julia.1
  • Research Note*: 10 April 2010; Martha July Ann "Julia" O'Hara was the daughter of William O'Hara and Rebecca Louisa Foy.
    William O'Hara was born 1750 in Ireland, and died 1817 in Edgefield SC. William was a Revolutionary War Soldier in SC.
    Rebecca Louisa Foy was born 1776 in SC (probably Edgefield), and died 1854 in Chambers Co., AL.
    Rebecca and William married ca. 1795 in SC
    Rebecca Louisa Foy was the daughter of Peter Foy (Rev. War Soldier) and Hamital Moore.1
